I frequently write about topics such as eating disorders, self harm, depression, and anxiety. Everyone is unique, with their own personal triggers, and there is no way that I would be able to put a trigger warning or disclaimer at the beginning or end of every post. If anyone finds some of my content excessively triggering, then please let me know so I can add a warning to the beginning of the post in question. But I generally have a read-at-your-own-risk sort of policy. I write entirely from my own personal experiences and opinions, and I honestly don’t know what other people might find offensive or triggering.
Most of my posts have pretty straightforward titles (e.g. “The Food Issue,” “My Stance on Self Harm,” etc.) which allude to potentially triggering content, and you can also check the categories and tags of the post before reading it.
I can, however, state that I will never post graphic and/or potentially triggering images on this site. I do not believe in the glorification of mental illnesses. I do not, for example, think pictures of self-harm scars are “artsy.” You will never see images like that on this blog.
