Long it’s been thought women were meant to be delicate, embodying the very spirit and grace of a flower.
But I’ve got a wake up call for you.
Times are changing. Our culture is shifting and growing and healing itself, making up for the horrors it’s committed in the past.
Times are changing. We are becoming stronger and more assertive and more established. Women are ascending to positions of cultural power like never before.
Times are changing and our lives are changing with them. We are not just achieving equality—we are achieving innovation and reclamation and inspiration.
We are not just achieving equality—we are achieving bravery, boldness, beauty.
Times are changing! It’s the final sprint, the home stretch! Just imagine in five years, twenty years, a hundred! Our children and our children’s children and everyone who comes after them will talk about this time, this time when we fought—this time when we stood up and began to take our rightful place in the world.
Generations from now they will talk about the courageous and brilliant women who dared to speak, who dared to dance. They will talk about the opressed women who rose up and fought back. They will talk about the women who made headlines around the world, whose voices were heard by billions.
And though they may not be remembered by name, they will talk about the everyday women—the cops, the lawyers, the politicians, the soldiers, the businesspeople—who knew what they wanted and went for it. They will talk about the women who lived their lives in beauty and perfection as just themselves. They will talk about the women who simply lived.
We are living in the pages of a history book. We are living in an amazing era!
Times are changing.
What will you do to be a part of history?
